Kamile & Adam’s Lemont, IL Wedding – Featured on Style Me Pretty!

So excited to announce that the very first wedding video I’ve EVER shot was featured on Style Me Pretty Illinois! As many of my friends and fans know, I began delving into video last year. While I still love photography and a majority of my work is still wedding and portrait clients, doing video has opened up a really exciting avenue of creativity for me because I love visual & emotional storytelling! When my good friend Ashley at Ashley Biess Photography mentioned she had some clients that would like to have video, I jumped at the chance to put my skills to the test.

Kamile & Adam’s nuptials took place at the beautiful Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Parish in Chicago, and the reception took place at the Lithuanian World Center, with a stop at Morton Arboretum for photos in-between. It was such a beautiful day, with a lush palette of purple blooms and mossy greens. A big thanks to La Belle Fleur Events for flawless coordination, and most of all, thanks to Kamile and Adam for such a fun time! I absolutely loved capturing your happiness.

Heather & Brian – Winter Wedding in Long Grove, Illinois

I don’t get to be part of many winter weddings in these parts… generally I can’t blame people, since the midwest is notorious for having an unpredictable [depressing] winter season.  I’ll admit I had my reservations when asked to shoot a wedding two days after Christmas.  But boy, oh boy, this wedding was one of my favorites EVER.  Heather & Brian’s wedding day started out with grey skies and slushy snowy storms, but the day unfolded into a beautiful winter afternoon, followed by an intimate affair filled with the love & joy of close family and friends.

The girls got ready at the Asha SalonSpa in Schaumburg, Illinois.  Ladies, if you want to feel zen on your wedding day and smell deliciously herbal from morn’ til’ night, you should get ready at an Aveda salon!  I was a bit jealous that I had to take pictures and couldn’t get my hair done. ;-)

Heather’s bouquet was perfectly wintry with white poppies, roses, and deep purple calla lilies.  Final preparations took place at Long Grove Community Church, where the ceremony was also held.  I had never been to this church before, and I was taken back by how quaint and beautiful it is.  The sanctuary was built in 1848 and is so well kept, and their decor for the holidays was simplistic and beautiful.

I adore this kiss.  So much love!

Heather and Brian are two of the sweetest people I’ve ever met – it is such a pleasure to photograph genuinely happy people.

The reception was held at Peggy Kinnane’s Irish Pub – I had the largest and most delicious slab of pork I think I’ve ever tasted.

I am so blessed to have the job that I have, it is such a joy to be part of celebrations like these.  Hey, winter weddings aren’t so bad after all!  Heather & Brian, I wish you two all the best and look forward to meeting up in the future!

Liz & Daniel’s Wedding – Deerfield, Illinois

I met Liz & Daniel at a wedding reception I photographed a while back, and after their Lincoln Park engagement session, I was really excited to be photographing their wedding.  Liz & Daniel are nature-lovers and both graduates of Trinity International University, and on their super-muggy wedding day, we were able to incorporate the overgrown garden area on Trinity’s campus into some really romantic photos of the two of them.

Liz’s colors of bright pink with accents of green and lavender made for the perfect summery color scheme.

This is definitely one of my favorite pictures ever^.

After the ceremony, the couple celebrated with friends and family at their reception at Garden Terrace Banquets in Elk Grove Village.
